A pleasant morning to one and all.
According to the internet, Fundraising is the process of soliciting and gathering contributions as money or other resources, by requesting donations from individuals, businesses, charitable foundations, or governmental agencies. In my own understanding, fundraising are basically collecting money from every individual of a specific group and all of the funds gained used for a specific activity that we want to propose.
We can’t conduct a fundraising activity just by ourselves, we need loyal and truthful friends who are willing to help us increase our funds. A good thing that we can do is to establish a group or an organization for us to have a good number or fundraisers to help us in every activity that we do.
Fund raising activity requires money, time and a lot of patience. In this activity we are not sure if we will be able to succeed. So we must always have a plan B. In order for this activity to become a success here are some things to consider.
• Know how much money you need and when you need it. Make sure to add estimated costs to your fundraising goal.
• If possible, start planning your fundraiser at least one month in advance. This way you can get letters and ads written, products lined up, and events scheduled.
• Set beginning and end dates for each project.
• Find out what types of fundraisers have been successful for your group or community in the past.
• If planning a large fundraiser that uses several fundraising sources, estimate the funds needed from each activity. If you can, use figures from past successful events as goal points.
• Use a goal chart to check your progress.

Our government also has this kind of activity. The PCSO or the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, its main purpose is to help those people who are indeed by using a raffle draw. In order to join this raffle we must be older than 18, we should go to our nearest lotto outlets and choose and a group of numbers. If our chosen numbers are all perfectly drawn, we will win a large amount of money. On the funds that the PCSO collected they are used for the cash prizes and a certain percentage for the helping of those all who are in need.
Did you know that here in school we are conducting a fund raising activity? Well you might forget the Love and Share Drive. We care for our poor brothers and sisters here in Tarlac so we launched a campaign in which every student here in Don Bosco Tarlac is required to pay 5 pesos every day to the class treasurers. Our class treasurers will remit the daily collection to the pastoral office. All of the total collected funds will be used to buy some grocery items like canned goods, cup noodles, sardines and other personal utilities like soaps shampoo toothpaste and toothbrushes. This entire primary needs is donated to the adapted community in block 9 San Roque here in Tarlac City.
Joining this special activity is a lot of fun. It establishes teamwork, hard work within our group and patience within ourselves. Always remember that in fund raising activities the longer the time you spend on it, the better quality of the activity will become. So I encouraging every one of you to be consistent in joining this special activity. In order for your plan to succeed it just needs a little time, teamwork and a pinch of patience.
That’s all and have a nice day!
